  • Faculty member named 2023 Earl E. and Wilma S. Shepard Distinguished Service recipient

    Professor emeritus Henry W. Fields, Jr., DDS, MS, MSD, is the recipient of the 2023 Earl E. and Wilma S. Shepard Distinguished Service Award. Presented on April 24 at the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session in Chicago, the award recognizes Dr. Fields for his outstanding dedication and advancement of the ideals and mission of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). 

  • Provost's Midcareer Scholars announced

    The Ohio State University has selected its inaugural cohort in the Provost’s Midcareer Scholars: Scarlet and Gray Associate Professor Program. The initiative honors and recognizes tenure-track faculty who have recently been appointed to the rank of associate professor with tenure and have demonstrated significant accomplishments in their discipline(s).

  • Community engagement essential to Ohio State’s land-grant mission, scholars say

    The Ohio State University strives to maintain mutually beneficial relationships with communities throughout Ohio to fulfill its land-grant mission, administrators and faculty members said during the 2023 Engaged Scholarship Symposium. The event was held last week at the Fawcett Center on Ohio State’s Columbus campus.

  • Graduate school rankings reflect national excellence

    Several colleges reported degrees and specialty programs in the top 10 of the latest U.S. News and World Report Graduate School rankings. The College of Veterinary Medicine was ranked third in the nation. Education and Human Ecology had the second-ranked student counseling and personnel services program.
