Designing Your Faculty Life: Planning the Next Five Years

Lunch provided during an interactive session helping faculty envision and plan for a successful academic career through guided reflection, goal-setting and strategic planning activities tailored to professional growth, productivity and work-life alignment.

Navigating the Research Landscape: Resources, Funding and Support for Faculty Success

October 20 | Noon – 1 p.m. | In-person

Introducing new faculty to the university’s research ecosystem  — including key resources, funding opportunities and support structures — to help faculty strategically plan and navigate their research goals for long-term success.

A Strategic Approach to Service in Higher Education

November 20 | Noon – 1 p.m. | Virtual

Examine how faculty can strategically engage in service roles within higher education; balancing commitments, enhancing professional growth and contributing meaningfully to their institutions while advancing their academic careers.

Weekly Writing Retreat

November 5, 12, and 19 | 10 a.m. – noon | Virtual

Semi-structured writing time weekly during the month of November. The format includes a 20-30 minute didactic (i.e., writing-related presentations) session, and the remaining time is dedicated to writing.

Enhancing Teaching Excellence

December 12 | Noon – 1 p.m. | Virtual

Discuss innovative, inclusive and effective teaching strategies to enhance student engagement, improve learning outcomes and strengthen classroom experiences across disciplines.

Delve into the evolving role of AI in higher education through a panel of experts discussing national developments and university initiatives with insights on teaching, research and ethical considerations shaping the future of academia.

Managing Stress and Preventing Burnout: Strategies for Sustainable Academic Success

Enjoy lunch and learn practical strategies to manage stress and prevent burnout in academia. This session will offer tools for maintaining well-being, balancing responsibilities and building resilience to support sustainable success in teaching, research and faculty life.

Discover how interprofessional education enhances both research and teaching. The Office of Interprofessional Practice and Education will highlight collaborative opportunities, share strategies and provide resources to help faculty engage students and colleagues across disciplines for greater impact.
