The President and Provost’s Award for Distinguished Faculty Service annually recognizes up to three tenure-track, clinical, or research faculty members who have been at Ohio State for at least five years. Their contributions to the development and implementation of university policies and programs, through non-administrative roles, have been extensive and have made documentable impact on the quality of the university.
Nominees will have served in leadership roles (either elected or appointed), on university-level committees, or in similar capacities and should have evidence of continuing effective teaching and an active program of research, scholarship, or creative work.
The Office of Academic Affairs awards recipients a $3,000 cash award and an increase of $1,200 to their base salary. In addition, recipients are honored at a celebration during spring semester and recognized during a home football game in Ohio Stadium in fall semester.
