2024 Ohio State Faculty Awards

Educators, researchers and scholars who were recognized at The Ohio State University’s annual Faculty Awards Celebration are major contributors to fulfilling the university’s land-grant mission, President Walter “Ted” Carter Jr. said. The event was held April 30 at the Ohio Union.

Turro elected to U.S. National Academy of Sciences

Claudia Turro, a professor and chair in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, has been elected to the U.S. National Academy of Sciences. Turro joins a 2024 class of 120 members and 24 international members in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. 

Puskas named a Distinguished University Professor

Judit E. Puskas, a College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Distinguished Professor, has been named a Distinguished University Professor, Ohio State’s highest faculty honor. 

Three named 2024 Guggenheim Fellows

Abby Zbikowski, associate professor in the Department of Dance; Gina Osterloh, photographer and associate professor in the Department of Art, and Ryan Johnson, post-MFA scholar in the Department of Dance, have received 2024 Guggenheim Fellowships.
