The inaugural Written in Scarlet and Gray: Faculty Author Showcase was dedicated to recognizing the intellectual contributions and creative achievements of our esteemed faculty. Taking place on April 16, the event highlighted a wide-range of Ohio State faculty who wrote or edited a book that was published in 2025. The event featured remarks from President Ravi Bellamkonda, Interim Provost Trevor Brown and Senior Vice Provost Patrick Louchouarn, recognizing this accomplishment.
"It was inspiring to see all of the faculty members from across the university at this inaugural event. The academic output of the 2025–2026 cycle at Ohio State reflects a distinctly interdisciplinary turn, linking fields such as political science and education, law and artificial intelligence, and environmental science and critical theory,” Louchouarn said. “Taken together, these books position our university as a hub for scholarship responding to the structural, technological and social pressures shaping the early 21st century."
