Faculty Networks

Ohio State’s Faculty Networks create opportunities for our faculty to socialize with colleagues, discuss shared interests and concerns, and easily access valuable resources. Planned informal gatherings hosted on and off campus are designed to forge connections at Ohio State and in the surrounding community.

During the 2022-23 academic year, three faculty networks—the New Faculty Network, Women+ Faculty Network and Faculty of Color Network—launched as inaugural faculty networks. Based on the success of those networks and the input received from network members, the LGBTQIA+ Faculty Network and Military-Connected and Veteran Faculty Network were established in fall 2023 to better serve our broader university community.

Each Faculty Network focuses on the experiences of a particular faculty group, though all are welcome to join.

Faculty Networks Year-End Celebration

Mark your calendars and save the date for our 2024 Faculty Networks Year-End Celebration on Tuesday, May 7, from 5-6:30 p.m., at The Faculty Club. Come enjoy an opportunity to unwind, connect with colleagues and celebrate the triumphs of the past year. Attendees are welcome to bring a guest and RSVP information will be available at a later date. All faculty are invited and Faculty Network membership is not required.

New Faculty Network

The New Faculty Network is intended to enhance the first-year experience for new faculty, providing opportunities to meet and engage with other new faculty in social settings while exploring the vibrancy of Ohio State’s campuses and surrounding communities.

Women+ Faculty Network

The Women+ Faculty Network has been launched to bring faculty who are women identified together to meet and establish a professional and social network inclusive of others with shared interests.

The Faculty of Color Network has been launched to bring academics who identify as faculty of color to meet and establish professional and social networks with others with shared interests.

The LGBTQIA+ Faculty Network has been launched to bring faculty who identify within the broad spectrum of sexual orientation and gender identity together to create community, connection and belonging here at Ohio State and the surrounding community.

Military-Connected and Veteran Faculty Network

The Military-Connected and Veteran Faculty Network has been launched to bring faculty who are affiliated with the military, including military veterans, together to meet and establish a professional and social network inclusive of others with shared interests.
